Candour Housing. A Home from Home.

Candour aims to be an inclusive Health and Social Care landlord for vulnerable adults helping with supported services, changing lives by providing specialist accommodation. Our aim is to deliver excellence in housing with a care provider, so vulnerable adults can live as independently as possible.

Our housing management company will provide different types of supported housing for those who find it difficult to manage their own home.

What is Supported Living

Supported living is a form of semi independent living for people who need a little extra support and care in order to be able to live a fulfilling and productive life. We work with care providers in order to ensure that people have the opportunity to develop skills, confidence and knowledge to help them live more independently. People are encouraged to be an active part of their communities and develop new interests and hobbies where appropriate to boost self esteem and social skills as well make new friends..

We provide support for people with:

  • Learning difficulties
  • Severe physical disabilities
  • Autistic spectrum conditions
  • Complex needs
  • Mental health problems

We have a variety of properties available across the country ranging from one bed room flats to shared accommodation depending on needs and abilities, pros are fully assessed and offered appropriate accommodation if suitable.

Often people come to us for the first time leaving home, and we understand this can be scary so work through the move in prior to the date and even work on making the property to your liking where possible, alternatively people are stepping down from residential care, making again their first steps towards a more independent life. In both cases they are then supported with all the worries of paying the bills and maintenance of the property stress taken off them, so they can focus on learning the skills necessary to move to more independence.
